Why the ride? This is an annual ride in memory of Jon and Aubrey Hastings' son, Corbin, who went to sleep at the sitter's house and never woke up.  Corbin was 3.5 months old and is greatly missed each day.  A very good friend and training partner of Jon's, Joel Kahn, suggested we turn our annual Memorial Day ride into a charity ride in memory of Corbin.  100% of all donations go to help support SIDS Network of Ohio and their continuous effort to bring awareness and education to new parents across Ohio on the prevention of SIDS as well as providing support resources to those parents who have lost a child to SIDS.

More info:  This is a charity event with all proceeds going to support SIDS Network of Ohio.  SIDS Network of Ohio is a 501c3 organization and your donation is tax deductable.  Please include your name, email address, and amount donated either at registration or sent to info@hastingselite.com to have a receipt sent to you for your tax records if you plan on taking a tax deduction for your ride donation.

The ride is a non supported ride (ie roads are open to normal traffic and there will be no sag wagon on the course).  All traffic laws must be followed and riders are responsible for their own food/water/support during the ride.  There is a convenience store along the bike 50/100mile course where riders can stop and purchase food/drink if needed.  Please be sure to carry tire change equipment as there is not going to be a support vehicle during the ride.

The bike routes take place around Alum Creek with the 100 (and 50) mile course looping out through Johnstown and back to the start/finish at the Alum Creek Beach area for refueling.  The 100 mile ride will then head back out for a second loop. Feel free to ride at your own pace.  The main group will be leaving the Alum Creek beach parking lot at 8am, but you may leave earlier if desired once you register.

There will be water, bagels, fruit and other foods available at the start, but please bring what you will need for your ride. There will be route maps provided for each distance.
